A gorgeous necklace from the Spratling taller, first designed and introduced into the collection sometime in the 1960’s. A heavy strand of hand-made, solid cast fine sterling silver links (tests above 925), with a seamlessly hidden clasp. The links are cast from Spratling’s original molds, then sawed open, connected, and soldered closed. The necklace has an impressive, grounding weight and feel. A versatile, iconic staple. The end link has been turned into a clasp, by adding a hinge and a secure locking mechanism. Such an ingenious design solution. Spratling hallmark and purity added to one of the links.
