An iconic design, and one of my absolute favorites from this collection. Spratling's classic, sterling silver flat bar Single Ribbon link chain, outfitted with gorgeous, bezel-set Guatemalan jade discs, this time a gorgeous, verdant green specimen. The ribbon links and jade sections alternate between wide rings for exemplary movement and feel. This necklace was originally intended to be worn with the stones sitting against the skin, link side up, but is fully reversible (and we love it worn "backwards," too!). Full Taxco hallmarks on the underside of the integrated box clasp. Incredibly flattering and comfortable along the neckline.
In Spratling's day, this piece was made with a variety of materials, including metales casados (married metals), malachite, onyx and turtle shell, and dates to very early on in the history of William Spratling's workshop, around the 1930's.
17 1/2” length, 69 grams.
All pieces from this collection come with a lifetime guarantee direct from the taller of Casa Spratling.
